Now having Cheyne-Stokes respirations - Part Three
*Cheyne-Stokes is sometimes called the death rattle in people who are dying.
Life should be getting better…right? Well, let me say this - If we weren’t used to everything NOT going smoothly, it would be horribly upsetting. As it is, it’s just another day in the life of the “S” family. We’re the people you are glad you aren’t.
It’s still hot, like 107 degrees hot and I have a cold - yup that good old cold virus. But wait?! Isn’t it the middle of summer and in the middle of a heat wave? Why yes it is! Both girls have been coughing more at night and Littlest’s asthma is really acting up. Even the dogs are feeling the heat. First Gurdy had diarrhea and then Big Yellow Dog. That’s diarrhea in the house….now that we have carpet again. Do you think they could go in the kitchen, nope! I think it’s a combination of the heat and the separation anxiety since the move. Of course there are so many boxes and chaos, they probably didn’t know what to do. It’s not like they are left for hours at a time, Daddy was only gone about an hour. The good thing about the hot weather and sunshine, Big Yellow Dog’s nose is turning black again. He looks good in black.
We managed to get about 2/3rds of the kitchen in order and just have the dining room section. It’s just been too hot to do much. Of course with a clean counter, it’s like a magnet. You just have to set things down on it and so the kitchen is cluttered again. Such is life.
A fun thing about our new place is that it has a resident Bald Eagle. It is a beautiful bird. We take that as a good omen. So unlike the crows and the gang members at our last house.
Big Yellow Dog loves the new place. He feels comfortable enough to lay in the back yard, which he never did at the old house. He had been attached so many times by the neighbor’s pit bull that I don’t think he liked it there. Even in the heat, he likes to lie outside. One of the first nights at the new place, he was outside and suddenly we heard him sound the alarm. One of those bark/howls that we knew something was up. Daddy went running outside and saw a head bobbing up and down next door. There was a little girl on a trampoline. BYD had never seen that before and it scared him! We had a good laugh.
I have a follow up appointment today to get my results from the breast lump removal. I’m sure all will be well.
