Stayin’ Alive

Who knew that a 70’s disco beat could keep you alive (and if you are old enough to remember the song, that’s even better!)   There was a study that determined that the BeeGees song “Stayin’ Alive” had the perfect 103 beats per minute to do CPR to.   In case you’ve forgotten the song, here you go!

Bee Gees - Stayin’ Alive

They also said that Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust” has the perfect beat as well, but sends the wrong message.   Oops!

(Now that I watch the Bee Gees video again - oh how cheesy it all was!)

Someone else linked to this blog analyzer and this is what it came up with my blog:

The analysis indicates that the author of http://bittersweet.blog.com is of the type:

ESFP - The Performers

The entertaining and friendly type. They are especially attuned to pleasure and beauty and like to fill their surroundings with soft fabrics, bright colors and sweet smells. They live in the present moment and don“t like to plan ahead - they are always in risk of exhausting themselves.

The enjoy work that makes them able to help other people in a concrete and visible way. They tend to avoid conflicts and rarely initiate confrontation - qualities that can make it hard for them in management positions.

Falling even more in Love

Both girls are growing up so fast and their personalities are shining through.  Littlest is babbling up a storm and sometimes she says something that sounds very distinctly like a word - not sure what the word is, but it has to be a word.  She is becoming quite the jolly girl who giggles and laughs readily now.  She loves, loves, loves diaper changes.  She smiles and laughs her way through it.  She seems to find joy everywhere.  The dogs are a great source of merriment.   Sturdy Gurdy has taken quite the liking to that little girl and gives her kisses frequently.   Littlest turns 11 months old tomorrow.  What an amazing journey we’ve had with this miracle baby.

Bug is our resident ham.   She loves to dance and show off.  Last night we all (including the dogs) were playing in her big girl room and I started doing the Itsy Bitsy Spider song.  After singing it a couple times, Bug stood up on her bed and was singing along doing the hand motions.   I tried so hard not to laugh, but it was so flippin’ cute.  Here’s this tiny, very serious 19-month-old girl singing gibberish and doing some sort of interpretative dance standing on a bed.  All the while, Littlest is giggling.  Afterwards, we all collapsed with laugher.  So next time you see Bug, ask her to sing for you, you won’t regret it.

Also last night, I decided we should have breakfast for dinner.  We haven’t done that before (although Daddy and I had as kids) and it was an easy meal.  I remembered that we had some frozen blueberries so we had blueberry waffles.   I gave Bug one frozen blueberry…she was so excited she kept doing what we now call happy feet.   She does this little jig and asks for more.  If I didn’t give her one immediately, she did more happy feet.  She ate so many blueberries that I had to get more out so we wouldn’t have plain waffles.  Needless to say, she wasn’t too hungry for waffles after that, but she certainly got her exercise!

In spite of all the worries and stresses, you can’t help but find joy and love in these two girls.
