Anyhow, on to other things. I have been working really hard at decluttering and getting the girls’ bedrooms organized and decorated. It’s almost like I’m nesting. The benefits are wonderful. I even cleaned off the top of the refridgerator last night. If you dropped by our house, I might actually let you in! We have such a little house and so much stuff, it’s always messy. Add two kids, two dogs, and two adults and it’s a recipe for constant messiness. Bug’s room just needs pictures hung and the room is done. The closet is clean, all her clothes are in there, bed made, and curtain’s hung. Littlest’s room, Bug’s former room, just needs to have the closet cleaned out. I have a bunch of craft stuff in there, so it needs organization. The closets are so tiny, there is barely enough room to hold a mouse’s wardrobe. I will finallly get all this stuff done and we probably will have to move or something!
I’ve always been a pack rat, so it’s been a long and painful process for me to part with a lot of things, but I’m doing it. Watching a lot that show Clean Sweep with Peter Walsh made me realize that if you have sentimental items packed away and aren’t looking at them, maybe you should rethink keeping them. Maybe take a picture to keep and then get rid of the item. I’m not quite there yet, but I’ve gotten a full two car garage down to less than a third filled with my sentimental crap! We actually had the 4Runner parked in it for a while! Someday we may be able to park two cars in there, but not for a while.
